Genus Information
Nephrolepis is a genus of around 30 species of fern. Species in the genus are commonly referred to as sword ferns and are native to tropical regions across the World. They prefer moist, humid areas with filtered light like the understory of forests, swamps, and flood plains.

Nephrolepis exaltata ‘Green Lady’ prefers bright indirect sunlight but can tolerate partial shade.
Watering requirements
The Boston Fern likes its soil to be kept moist at all times.
Humidity requirements
Nephrolepis exaltata ‘Green Lady’ prefers an area with high humidity, it can not handle dry air so if it is in a location without high humidity it must be misted regularly.
Growth
Can reach heights of up to 1 metres and is a fast grower. It will however be restricted by the size of pot it is in.

Originally native to North America.
Flowering
Nephrolepis exaltata ‘Green Lady’ does not produce flowers.
Foliage
The Boston Fern produces densely packed sword-like fronds which give it its other nickname of the Sword Fern. The plant is considered non-toxic.
